Mobile phones offer increased independence for children/adolescents. As with all technologies, guidance and direction are needed to promote the safe and responsible use of mobile phones. Parents and mobile phone providers/carriers must play an active role in establishing and enforcing guidelines and regulations for children/adolescents.
